The beacon is currently ON-THE-AIR .

General Information:

The N1KXR/B went on the air at 21:00 Hours EST on Saturday, November 22, 2008. This beacon is coordinated with the IARU Region 2 HF Beacon Coordinator and is located in Northampton, Massachusetts [USA] (grid square: FN32). Please feel free to use this beacon anytime you want to hear the propagation into/from Western Massachusetts and the surrounding areas.

Beacon Operation:

The beacon is on the air 24/7/365 with down time kept to a minimum; a power outage or maintenance may cause the beacon to be off the air temporarily.

Beacon Frequency:

28.289.50 MHz

Beacon Power:

Twenty Five (25) watts, with no power stepping.

Beacon Transmitter:

Radio Shack HTX-100

Antenna:

Solarcon A-99, Vertical orientation

The beacon's message is being generated by a "Freakin' Beacon" available at Expanded Spectrum Systems..

Current Message Sequence:
